Cambrils

Cambrils is Salou's quieter Costa Dorada resort neighbour, but things are still pretty lively here in picturesque Cambrils in peak season especially. Renowned for its excellent seafood restaurants - Cambrils has a thriving fishing industry and heritage, this resort also has a delightful harbour area and borders the Parc de Sama just inland. Cambrils has 9 glorious km of beach space with adjoining beach promenade popular for both strolling and cycling. Blue flag beaches all the way here at Cambrils, combined with a pretty marina area and a selection of Roman and Medieval remains. Cambrils serves as a better out of summer season base, with its fine restaurants, historic sites and easy access south towards the Ebro Delta, and north to Tarragona.

During the summer season Cambrils, alongside Salou and La Pineda, is one of the Costa Dorada's most popular resorts. Bus Plana run a regular bus route from Cambrils to Salou, La Pineda and Port Aventura Adventure Park as well as Acropolis Waterpark, plus further excursions north to Tarragona, Barcelona and Sitges. Cambrils' 9km stretch of beach breaks down into 8 separate beaches, all with blue flag status. Perfect for families, waters are calm and Cambrils main beach L'Ardiaca is flat with easy access off the promenade. Services are excellent including lifeguards, kids playground, seafront accommodation and a sailing school. Cambrils' second main beach is La Llosa. Slightly less built up than L'Ardiaca, this beach still has a kids playground, seafront promenade and lifeguards. Fine golden sands and calm waters too! Cambrils' pretty beaches are cleaned daily and are of the highest standards. Other beaches include Horta de Santa Maria, Reueral and Prat d'en Forres beaches and some nice quiet beaches like Cavet and Esquirol.

The streets of Cambrils and the area surrounding the town are filled with interesting cultural features and beautiful natural scenery. The region is well worth seeing with an eye towards learning more about the history of our town or simply to admire the magnificent views that the local countryside offers.

Don't worry if you are looking for something more to do on your holiday than just going to the beach, Cambrils has lots more to offer. Aside from the excellent climate, there is the wonderful food, a wide variety of shopping opportunities, and a first-class calendar of events. Cambrils will satisfy any interest in culture or eco-tourism that visitors may have with a wide variety of interesting locations and activities.
